The needs of our customers are ever-changing and happening faster every day - our team needs to be one step ahead of these changes and act quickly, knowing exactly how the network is performing and able to deliver for our customers. We are growing our international and domestic parcels and logistics businesses by building partnerships and ensuring we're highly focused on what our customers want and need. NZ Post has been a vital link for New Zealanders for over 170 years, and in the future, we will continue to be a trusted Kiwi company that helps customers succeed and helps New Zealand grow.
About the role
At NZ Post we have an inflight strategy to move to the Cloud, and our Cloud Environments Manager will support this by working as part of each scrum team to implement and manage the Non-Production Environments to support the effective deployment of initiatives within time and budget constraints. Key expectations for you in this role will be to minimise environmental drift, ensure consistency across environments and provide assurance that they are fit-for-purpose. You'll also need to make sure we get our development pipeline right, support our test team to move workflows between environments with a high level of confidence, and ensure policies and processes are in place for regular rightsizing of Cloud resources.
We'd like to see you come from a technical IT background, with previous Environments Management experience, particularly within Cloud environments. You'll have deep working knowledge of development-integration-deployment SDLC and the systems required to ensure continuous delivery. Be prepared to tell us about your experience with enterprise scale IaaS environments including container technologies and tools (preferably AWS), and with CI/CD. You will quickly build credibility and trust with both the teams you work with and third party partners, and your experience navigating complex environments will prove that you can grasp new concepts quickly.
Our Technology Operations team are fun, hard-working and supportive. We're proud of the work we are doing to move to the Cloud and see this role as being a key part of that success.
