We're looking for a stand out leader with a great “can do attitude” who is committed to making sure nothing gets in the way of delivering what people care about. 

There is a lot happening right now at NZ Post, and as the Area Service Delivery Manager you'll be right in the thick of it all!  This will be a challenging role heading the final transition of the CourierPost and Mail and Communication operations into one integrated business for the Southland region.

Alongside driving the transition, you'll be leading the courier, transport and postal teams within the region to be a high performing team.  As part of the Senior Management team, you'll be contributing to the strategic direction of NZPost, building capability through your people and driving a One Team culture with a clear purpose. You'll be focussed on business growth, whilst continually improving and modernising the Operations Centre as part of transforming the Network.

Key skills and experience we're looking for:

  • 5 years + experience in a senior leadership role, within a logistics, and/or operational environment
  • Considerable experience leading teams through change and transformation
  • Experience managing both contractors and employees
  • Understanding of core revenue and profit drivers, capable of delivering business performance objectives
  • Experience analysing data, trends and applying this to make strategic recommendations and decisions
  • Financial and budget management experience
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including preparation and delivery of business cases/papers for senior stakeholder audiences

Hours will typically be Monday to Friday, however, flexibility in working hours will be required recognising the business operates 24 hours 7 days a week. There will be a need to regularly visit all sites, both within the region and nationally.

 

Appointees will be subject to a security check and may be required to undertake a drug test.
