Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

We are currently accepting internal applications for a Service Operations Manager, based at our Whangarei depot. Reporting to Northland Area Manager, this is a brilliant opportunity for an outstanding leader to manage our Customer Service and Processing teams.

In this role, you'll be focused on engaging your team in the efficient processing, distribution and delivery of our customer's mail and parcels, as measured by our service targets.   You'll also

• manage costs and service performance
• leading and implementing improvement initiatives

This is a true leadership position, where you'll create an engaged, high performing team culture, taking the time to understand each individual in order to develop their skills and careers, while recognising and rewarding performance and managing poor performance. The role also interacts with our key commercial customers in the region, so you'll be building relationships that add strategic value to our customers' business.

This role operates during core business hours, Monday to Friday, however flexibility is required recognising the 24/7 nature of our organisation.

As an experienced operational people leader you'll bring with you proven experience in terms of developing and maintaining a high performance, customer centric culture.  You'll couple this with: 

• Customer service and relationship management skills including excellent communication.
• Solid commercial acumen, including budgets, financials and analytical skills
