Regional Manager - South Island

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

In this role you'll ensure that South Island region operates to the highest standard, achieving ‘world class' safety, service, cost and people outcomes.  With a national view, you'll be a Network leader and provide thought leadership and expertise that contribute to the national standardisation and efficiency of our Service Delivery operation. 

You'll be accountable for:

  • Leading Area Managers across delivery operational targets and outcomes
  • Holding key relationships with stakeholders and ensure key national initiatives and strategic programmes are implemented consistently across their region
  • Advocating and role modelling the MOS and continuous improvement
  • Thinking 'customer', role models our values and build a positive and inclusive culture, develops people (including right from the frontline)
  • Bringing in other perspectives, works to the new operating model and has a strong focus on learning / continuous improvement

Mōu - About you

As an experienced people leader, you'll be used to operating at this level.  You'll enjoy motivating your teams and creating a productive and engaged culture. 

You'll couple this with

  • Proven experience working in a senior leadership role within an operational environment  
  • Strong background in setting strategy and budgets and ensuring the success of business performance  
  • Proven excellence in people leadership and coaching  
  • Good track record in building and sustaining strong, mutually beneficial working relationships
