Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

At NZ Post, we're transforming how we serve customers and grow our business. To make that happen, we need sharp insights and smart decision-making. That's where you come in.

As our Sales Insights & Performance Analyst, you'll be the engine behind sales performance. From tracking our teams KPIs and sales targets, through to forecasting, identifying growth and development opportunities, board reporting and managing incentive schemes, you'll give our sales leaders the information they need to make great decisions.

This role is about more than reporting; it's about shaping the future. By staying connected to our sales teams and understanding the bigger picture of our business strategy, you'll transform data into insights that spark growth and innovation. Your dashboards, analysis, and advice won't just tell a story, they'll help write the next chapter of our success.

You'll make your mark by:

  • Monitoring and analysing sales KPIs to highlight trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Delivering insights on campaign success, customer behaviour, and sales growth
  • Developing dashboards and reports that bring data to life for leaders and teams
  • Partnering with Finance and Sales to set targets and forecast performance
  • Maintaining and optimising CRM and BI tools, ensuring clean, consistent data
  • Owning sales and courier incentive schemes, from process to payment

Most importantly, you'll keep up with market trends to make sure our data and insights stay sharp and forward thinking.

Mōu - About you

You're a natural problem-solver who loves turning complex data into simple, actionable insights. Your proactive approach means you anticipate needs, connect the dots, and deliver information that helps sales teams perform at their best. You balance independent deep-dive analysis with collaboration across teams, and you're motivated by seeing your work directly shape performance.

You'll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in sales analytics, BI, or commercial operations
  • Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Experience with CRM platforms (ideally Salesforce)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with the confidence to work independently

A tertiary qualification in business, data analytics, economics, or a related field is preferred.
