![]() Site Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who's keen to grow their skills in health, safety and wellbeing. You'll be working closely with our site leaders and our Safety & Wellbeing team, helping to make sure our new Auckland Processing Centre in Wiri is a safe and supportive place to work. You don't need years of experience – what we're looking for is the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in people's wellbeing. Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role You'll support the day-to-day health and safety needs of our processing site, from helping plan our safety processes to checking people are following them. One day you might be updating admin and records, the next helping roll out a wellbeing initiative or preparing for a safety walk-through. You'll also play a big part in sharing important safety messages and be part of our Safety & Wellbeing Action Group (SWAG), working alongside our frontline team, supervisors and safety partners to bring our values to life: Safe Home Every Day (SHED) and Living it Fully Every Day (LIFE). You'll be critical in ensuring that the site adheres to Health and Safety Regulations and delivers practical Safety & Wellbeing plans and objectives, as well as any national Safety & Wellbeing Team initiatives. Maybe you've built your interest through another job, been on a health and safety committee, or just found yourself naturally drawn to creating safe, supportive workplaces. It goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway, you'll also have strong admin skills, a continuous improvement ethos and the ability to build relationships at all levels, and ideally you'll have some relevant safety qualifications. Hours Our processing centre operates variable day and night shift rosters, and this role has a requirement to work across our various shifts (being Day, PM and AM), to ensure safety standards across those shifts. There is some flexibility around the times and days, but regular nights and the occasional weekend are required.
