Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Based at our Auckland East Super Depot (AESD), formally known as AOC, the purpose of this role is to lead AESD to be a high performing part of our business in regard to service performance, achieving “world class” safety, people engagement, productivity and commercial performance.

A key focus of this role will be to lift network performance through improving collaboration and information sharing between teams and minimising any unintended consequences.

With four direct reports, positive and proactive leadership is a key element of this role. Guiding and coaching teams through change, and building an environment focussed on performance and commercial growth will be critical for success.

Mōu - About you

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will be able to clearly demonstrate multiple years of successful experience leading large teams within an operational environment, leading multiple sites would be advantageous. Ideally you will also have a tertiary qualification in Business and/or Operations Management, Supply Chain or Logistics. Strong financial management and commercial acumen will also be required.

A thorough knowledge of best practice Health and Safety, project management and strong influencing and negotiation skills will be imperative to the success of this role. Coupled with your extensive understanding of our organisation and ongoing demonstration of living the NZ Post values!
