People Change Specialist

  • Lead the people side of change
  • Build strong relationships across the enterprise
  • Can be based in Auckland (East Tamaki), Tauranga, Wellington (CBD) or Christchurch (Yaldhurst)

About the role | Kōrero mō te tūranga

Are you a strategic HR change professional who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and purpose? We're looking for a People Change Specialist to join our high-performing People Change team.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of transformational change, ensuring people are supported through complex organisational shifts. You'll partner with project and programme leads across the business to shape and guide effective people outcomes in a unionised, multifaceted environment.

You'll do that through:

  • Partnering with business leads to understand and manage people impacts during change initiatives
  • Leading and delivering key people activities across strategic transformation programmes/projects
  • Translating complex people data into actionable insights for leaders and stakeholders
  • Navigating enterprise-wide restructures and rollouts with clarity, empathy, and agility
  • Supporting the development and delivery of people-focused communications/engagements across multiple channels

About you | Mōu

You're an experienced change professional who combines strategic thinking with a people-first mindset. You bring experience in leading change management initiatives — ideally within complex or unionised environments — and understand how to support people through ambiguity and transformation.

You'll couple that with:

  • A solid understanding of employment relations principles and practices in a unionised context
  • Proven ability in delivering people change initiatives in line with legal and contractual obligations
  • Excellent communication skills, with a knack for simplifying the complex in high-stakes environments
  • Experience working across project environments — familiarity with tools like PowerBI, Jira, or MS Project is a bonus
