New Zealand Post is an iconic New Zealand business and we are committed to a future that meets our customers both physically and digitally.
We are charting a course towards a big future – we choose to be bold – and nothing will get in the way of delivering what our customers care about.

Your previous experience in an operational environment will stand you in good stead and a fork hoist license will be essential. As this is a “hands on” position, you will need to possess a reasonable level of strength and fitness as well as strong attention to detail, resourcefulness and flexibility in your approach. It goes without saying that you will have a commitment to excellence and proactive attitude to a team providing services at the highest possible standard.

As a Charge Hand you will be required to:

  • Be available to work Monday to Friday 1515 - 1845
  • Have experience in freight or inwards and outwards goods
  • Ensure that courier products and parcels are sorted according to set KPI's and criteria
  • Show confidence in leading a team and different shifts
  • Remain calm under pressure and give direction to the team during work peaks
  • Work closely with the shift management and support the staff where needed
  • Be ready for a physically demanding role – heavy lifting is required
  • Have a fork hoist license (advantageous- training provided)

In return for upholding our promise to customers as well as ‘buying' in to our values, we can offer our employees a rich and diverse workplace offering.

Your opportunity could start right here. We are processing applications right now, so submit your application today!
