We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Delivery Manager to join the NZ Post team at Marua Road.  You'll be focused on ensuring the delivery of all products and services offered by New Zealand Post meet our service standards and customers' expectations.

Together with another Service Delivery Manager onsite, you'll lead and manage the front-line service delivery staff of approximately 50 Delivery Agents, so critical to this role is the ability to achieve positive people leadership by inspiring a culture of safety, development, ownership and continuous improvement.

Marua Road is NZ Post's biggest mail site, with a great culture, high engagement, and the branch was recently recognised as the top performing branch of the year. Therefore, we are looking for a manager to come in and ensure the genuine collaboration and team spirit, and successful operation continues! Of course, as mail volumes continue to decline, a key part of your role will be to continually look for opportunities to improve our processes and find efficiencies. 

A bit about you

You'll be a true people leader, using your strong interpersonal skills to confidently lead, coach and motivate your team while quickly building trust, influencing and maintaining strong positive relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.  Your great communication skills and rational, calm nature will ensure you can juggle lots of queries and personalities with efficiency and ease. 

You'll need a high degree of commercial acumen, have a good understanding of core revenue and profit drivers and be experienced with financial and budget management.  

You're a strategic thinker, but you also know how to solve practical problems and get results.  Key performance measures include commercial and service performance, productivity, safety results, people leadership and engagement. 

It's a complex and challenging environment, so we really need someone who knows what they're talking about from their experience in a similar operational environment.

Hours will typically be Monday to Friday, however, flexibility in working hours will be required recognising the business operates 24 hours 7 days a week.
