This is a great opportunity for you to work within a dedicated team who contribute to making New Zealand Post a great place to work.

As a Freight Investigator your role is critical to customer experience; providing a positive outcome for customer complaints and ensuring missing freight or product is sorted, processed, and despatched correctly. Your time will be split between phone calls and adminstration as well as investigating and physcially lifting missing freight in our operations centre.

About the role

In this dynamic job you will:

  • Take responsibility managing customer complaints providing a positive outcome for customers
  • Investigate, organise delivery and communicate regularly with the customer and handle freight in a careful and professional manner
  • Proactively search for parcels in our Auckland Operations Centre requiring manual handling and lifting of parcels
  • Liaise with various internal contacts to solve problems and raise issues where required
  • Build relationships with new and existing customer and highlight new business opportunities
  • A strong understanding of New Zealand geography is desired 

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Be available to work Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 6.00pm 
  • Be a committed teammate who puts customer's first
  • High level of customer service and strong communication skills
  • Competent computer skills
  • Have an accurate eye for detail and can handle stressful situations
  • Have a team-based approach
  • Physically fit for the handling of parcels and able to lift up to 25kgs
