Business Manager - Wellington
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We're looking for a motivated Business Manager who knows how to sniff out opportunity and turn conversations into customers. You'll manage a strong portfolio of existing clients while actively prospecting and networking to bring new business into the fold.
You'll collaborate closely with our wider operations and customer teams to uncover leads, problem-solve for customers, and develop creative, profitable solutions, all while delivering exceptional service that keeps them coming back.
Spending time out in the market, you'll network and develop prospect pipelines, engage decision makers, while also ensuring existing customers continue to receive exceptional service and support.
Mōu - About you
You'll bring proven success in sales, business development or account management, with the ability to both grow existing customer relationships and win new business. You understand how to identify opportunities, build value-driven solutions and deliver commercial results.
You're a natural relationship builder who enjoys getting out, meeting customers, and developing trusted partnerships. You understand that great sales are built on listening, understanding challenges, adding value and delivering on commitments, rather than simply making a sale. Just as comfortable nurturing existing relationships as you are creating new ones, you're proactive in identifying opportunities and don't wait for them to come to you.
With strong judgement, resilience and a considered approach, you're comfortable navigating complex environments, influencing outcomes and balancing customer needs with commercial objectives. Experience working with government, local government, or other highly structured organisations would be advantageous.
Alongside the above, you'll couple this with;
