Facilities Management Contract Manager

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

This is a newly created role where you'll take ownership of facilities management contracts across a diverse national property portfolio. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers, you'll ensure that essential services are delivered to the highest standards while achieving value for money and driving continuous improvement.

You'll be responsible for managing both hard and soft services contracts, providing strategic oversight while ensuring day-to-day operational performance.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of facilities service contracts and supplier relationships.
• Monitoring contractor performance against service levels and key performance indicators.
• Leading contract reviews, renewals, negotiations and performance discussions.
• Driving procurement activities, including RFx processes and supplier selection.
• Optimising contract performance and reducing costs.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety, building, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Developing contractor scorecards, performance reporting and governance frameworks.
• Managing facilities-related budgets and monitor expenditure against targets.
• Partnering with stakeholders across the business.
• Promoting innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives across the facilities portfolio

Mōu - About you

 We're looking for someone who combines strong commercial capability with practical facilities management expertise.

You'll combine that with:

• At least 5 years' experience in facilities management, contract management, property services or procurement.
• Proven experience managing outsourced service providers and facilities contracts.
• Strong knowledge of both hard and soft facilities services.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience leading procurement and tender processes.
• Strong analytical, financial and performance management capability.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities across a complex and geographically dispersed property portfolio.
