Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

As a Senior Business Analyst at NZ Post, you'll play a critical role in shaping change that delivers meaningful value for our customers, people, and business. You'll partner with business and technology leaders to identify opportunities, tackle complex challenges and guide informed decision-making that enables successful delivery outcomes.

Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll help teams navigate ambiguity, uncover root causes, and translate ideas into practical solutions. As a trusted advisor, you'll influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions, and bring clarity to complex situations, ensuring we focus on the changes that matter most.

You'll achieve that by:

• Partnering with Product Owners, Project Managers, Architects and business leaders to shape initiatives and define the best path forward
• Leading discovery and analysis activities to validate opportunities, problems, assumptions and desired outcomes
• Facilitating alignment across diverse stakeholder groups on priorities, scope, value and delivery approach
• Evaluating change options and assessing impacts, dependencies, risks and benefits to support informed decision-making
• Bridging business and technology perspectives to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and successfully implemented
• Coaching and influencing others while championing strong business analysis practices across NZ Post

You're an experienced Business Analysis professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys turning ambiguity into clarity.  Naturally curious and commercially aware, you're skilled at helping others make informed decisions by uncovering insights, challenging assumptions, and focusing on what matters most.

Whether you're partnering with senior leaders, facilitating discussions, or supporting delivery teams, you're able to build trusted relationships, bring people together around a shared understanding, and guide outcomes that create genuine value.  You're motivated by understanding the why behind the work and are passionate about delivering meaningful change for customers, colleagues and New Zealand.

You'll combine that with:

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst in complex enterprise environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment across diverse groups and levels
• Experience leading discovery and analysis activities, including validating assumptions, uncovering root causes and shaping opportunities for change
• The ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities and focus teams on high-value outcomes
• Experience delivering business analysis across the change lifecycle, from discovery and strategy through to implementation and value realisation
• A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in emerging technologies, practical application of AI, and advancing the Business Analysis profession
