Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

As the face of NZ Post out in the community, you'll connect with our customers as you deliver their mail and parcels.  Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll process and sort mail from our Bay road, Kilbirnie branch, before going it alone out on your delivery route using a Motorcycle or E-Bike - rain, hail or shine!   While your 'home base' is Kilbirnie, the expectation is to be available to work at the other Wellington delivery branches whenever needed.  Delivery Agents are a hardy bunch, all united by one mission – to deliver for New Zealand. 

Our On Call employees are a vital part of our business.  You can be called on to cover staff sickness, leave or to assist us with our peak delivery periods.   Its a great way to get work / life balance! 

Mōu - About you

• Availability to work as and when and where required across Monday - Saturday (starting from 7am)
• A minimum of a restricted or full NZ driver's license / learners motorcycle licence
• The on-call role will be based at Kilbirnie, but the expectation is to be available to work at the other Wellington delivery branches whenever needed
• Be ready for a physically demanding role
• Have a high level of numeracy and literacy – so you can get all that addressing information sorted!
• Ensure your own and the health and safety of your colleagues
• Going the extra mile to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• And above all, a passion for doing a great job and getting it right, each and every time!
