Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Reporting to the Group Risk Manager, the Head of Risk leads NZ Post's enterprise-wide second line risk function. This role is responsible for maintaining an effective Line 2 function that establishes risk frameworks, provides independent oversight, challenge and insight, and supports informed decision-making across the Group.
Leading a team of four, you will play a key role in strengthening risk maturity, supporting a positive risk culture, and providing clear, actionable risk reporting to Senior Leaders and the Board Risk Committee.
This is a broad leadership role with accountability across enterprise risk, compliance and policy governance, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure risks are effectively understood, managed and escalated where appropriate.
As NZ Post continues to strengthen its risk maturity, this role will play a key part in building organisational capability and supporting leaders to develop robust risk profiles and risk management practices. While maintaining a second line perspective, you'll take a pragmatic and collaborative approach to helping the business embed effective risk management across the organisation.
