We are seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Customer Billing and Investigations Specialist to join our Finance Operations team. You'll work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to investigate billing queries, resolve issues, manage exceptions, and deliver solutions that create positive customer outcomes while protecting business requirements.  Success in this role comes from building trust with customers, communicating clearly, investigating issues thoroughly, and finding practical solutions that balance customer needs with operational and business requirements.

In this busy and varied role, you'll be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, validation, and processing of customer invoicing and billing.  A key part of the role is investigating customer queries, resolving exceptions, and working through solutions that balance customer needs with operational requirements and established business processes.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and customers, you will play an important role in supporting revenue integrity, improving billing processes, and delivering a positive customer experience.

There will be opportunities to contribute to process improvements and projects, including identifying and supporting initiatives that enhance billing and invoicing accuracy and efficiency. As part of the wider Group Finance team, you'll be expected to work collaboratively and, at times, with the flexibility to pick up the work of other roles within the team to achieve team objectives.

You'll genuinely enjoy delivering accurate, high-quality work, are naturally curious and enjoy solving problems, and are a proven finisher.  You'll be an effective communicator who can build rapport quickly, demonstrate empathy, and confidently navigate conversations while balancing customer needs with operational requirements. Alongside your customer focus, you'll bring strong attention to detail and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. Experience in Accounts Receivable, Customer Billing, or a similar process-driven environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

You'll combine this with:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
• A customer-focused approach, demonstrating empathy and professionalism while balancing customer needs with operational requirements
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve customer queries, manage exceptions, and identify practical solutions that balance customer and business requirements.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working in a process-driven environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance processes and ways of working
