Accounts Payable and Purchasing Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable & Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic Finance Operations team. Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role 

In this hands-on role, you'll deliver accounts payable and purchasing services for both domestic and international suppliers.  You'll be managing purchasing cards, employee reimbursements, and maintaining supplier records, all while ensuring compliance and contributing to strong internal controls.

You'll also be a go-to resource within the team—sharing knowledge, supporting improvements, and working with a variety of stakeholders to drive great outcomes.

Your core duties will include:

• Processing accounts payable and purchasing transactions accurately and on time
• Managing purchasing card programs and employee reimbursements
• Maintaining supplier data and ensuring compliance with policy and controls
• Troubleshooting and resolving finance queries efficiently
• Supporting system and process improvements
• Creating documentation and training others to lift capability

You're a detail-oriented, solution-focused person, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative team. You'll bring solid experience in finance operations and a drive to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

You'll couple this with:

• At least 3 years' experience in accounts payable, purchasing or a finance-related role
• Strong working knowledge of integrated financial systems (especially in purchasing)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (particularly Excel and Outlook)
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with great communication skills
• The ability to balance accuracy with efficiency and handle pressure calmly
