 Process Risk Analyst – 9-Month Fixed Term

• Auckland (preferred) or Christchurch based
• Fixed Term (Nine months)
• No two days the same in this role
• Partner with operations frontline leaders to uplift operational risk management capability

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role

Come in and strengthen our first line risk and assurance capability. In this fixed term role, we see you working closely with operational leaders and process owners, to identify and assess key risks and controls across critical operational processes. 

This is a defined piece of work where you will be assessing a broad range and variety of processes related to parcel processing and delivery– so some really interesting work to get involved in. 

You'll embed practical assurance checks into operating system, ensuring proactive, consistent, and effective operational risk management. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with frontline teams, influence operational risk management, and contribute to build stronger capability and resilient processes.

You'll do this by:

• At a process level - Identifying and assessing key risks and critical controls.
• Designing and implementing first line assurance health checks.
• Uplifting operational leaders' risk and assurance capability in risk management, control ownership, and assurance practices.
• Producing clear, high‑quality risk and control documentation and reporting.
• Driving continuous improvement in operational risk.

You are naturally curious and confident engaging with operational teams, bringing a practical and disciplined approach to risk and assurance. You are comfortable navigating complexity, asking the right questions, and assisting teams to clearly understand their process risks and controls.

You bring a strong understanding of managing operational risks effectively at the frontline, bringing sound process thinking, combined an ability to engage, influence, and partner effectively with all stakeholders within an operational environment.

You have:

• Experience with risk management, or process analysis within a processing, operational or similar industry such as logistics, supply chain or manufacturing.
• Past success with reviewing operational processes, internal controls, and assurance activities.
• Been involved with facilitating discussions, workshops, walkthroughs, and structured risk discussions with operational leaders.
• The ability to build effective working relationships.
• A solution focused mindset with a continuous improvement orientation
• Strong computer literacy and MSOffice – Excel, PowerPoint
