Now's the time to join the whanau and be part of a Cyber function making massive changes for our business.
At NZ Post, our technology landscape is evolving rapidly, and cyber security sits at the heart of our future. We deliver what matters to Aotearoa every day — from essential goods to treasured connections — and we're committed to protecting the systems, data and digital experiences that make this possible.
To support this mission, we're looking to enhance and scale out our Cyber Security function, and we're seeking expressions of interest across three key roles:
Whether your strengths lie in technical architecture, security consulting, or governance and assurance, there's a place here for talented cyber experts who want to make a real impact.
Why Join NZ Post?
A business critical function with high visibility
You'll play a pivotal role in the continued uplift and maturing of our cyber posture across complex, enterprise scale environments. These roles are central to how we safeguard our people, customers, and digital assets.
A supportive, high performing & genuinely collaborative team
Our culture is built on care, trust and connection. We believe in backing each other, sharing knowledge openly and working together to deliver the best for Aotearoa. You'll join a team where your voice is valued and where collaboration is the norm.
Access to modern tech and meaningful work
You'll work with modern cloud environments, enterprise grade security tools, and future focused technology platforms. More importantly, you'll help shape how these tools are used to build resilience across NZ Post.
A growth environment - for our function and for you
These roles offer opportunities to coach, mentor and influence, helping uplift capability across the organisation. You will contribute to designing controls, maturing frameworks, shaping security architecture and strengthening assurance practices.
Who We're Looking For
We're interested in meeting cyber professionals who are:
If you bring experience in areas such as cloud security, secure-by-design architectures, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO27001, NZISM), technical control design, assurance programmes, risk leadership, security tooling, cyber strategy or Identity — we want to hear from you.
Location & Flexibility
These roles are ideally Auckland based (with our offices in Highbrook) and offer flexible working options. We are also very open to candidates based in Wellington.
Ready to Join Us?
If you're looking for your next challenge in a place where your work genuinely matters — and where you can help shape a modern, resilient, future ready Cyber Security function — we'd love to hear from you.
Apply now with an expression of interest, and our Talent team will connect with you to explore alignment across the three available roles.
Let's protect what matters, together.
