• 12 Month Fixed Term opportunity based in Wiri, Auckland
• Combination of process improvement initiatives and Portfolio planning for P&A portfolio.
• Lead a team of 4 Operations Improvement Specialists

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Automation excellence is our thing!  If playing a key role in improving our processing sites and improving operational efficiency is your thing, this could be your next move. 

In this role you will lead the improvement and transformation initiatives across our P&A network. You will shape the P&A portfolio, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with the Automation Excellence Lead and P&A operational site leads to deliver meaningful operational enhancements.

This role will also lead the coordination and delivery of P&A Portfolio representing P&A leadership across the various governance forums and business planning groups

Partnering with site leaders and operational teams, you will identify opportunities, address key operational challenges, and embed best practices that can be replicated across multiple sites to lift capability and performance nationally.

You'll do this by

• Leading the P&A continuous improvement and transformation portfolio
• Partnering with the Automation Excellence Lead to action identified improvement opportunities
• Working with site leaders to diagnose operational concerns and replicate best practices
• Developing and executing improvement plans aligned to the business strategy
• Leading, mentoring and coaching your direct reports to build capability and drive measurable results
• Prioritising, planning and overseeing a portfolio of improvement projects across functions and sites

As an experienced operational leader, you'll have a passion for transformation, problem solving and continuous improvement.  You bring a strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and structured improvement methodologies, and you thrive in environments that require collaboration, strategic thinking and the ability to influence at all levels.

You excel at leading teams through change, delivering measurable outcomes, and building an engaged, high-performing culture focused on safety, efficiency and excellence.

You'll combine that with

• A strong background in operational management/process design from a supply chain or manufacturing industry.
• A background in portfolio planning and coordination.
• Demonstrated success leading teams through transformation  
• Solid experience with process improvement
• Well-developed analytical, problem-solving and project management strengths
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and coaching skill
