Customer Billing Specialist
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Our Finance Operations team incorporates Customer Billing, Credit Control and Accounts Payable & Purchasing. This multi-functional group has the responsibility for providing efficient and cost-effective Billing, Invoicing and Payment support services, to meet the needs of internal and external customers for NZ Post.
We're on the lookout for someone to step in and help keep things running smoothly while one of our team takes on an internal secondment. You'll play an important role in supporting NZ Post and our on-account customers through to August 2026.
You'll do this by ensuring that all billing information our customers receive is accurate and arrives in a timely manner to enable prompt payment, all payments received are correctly allocated, and all customer enquiries are resolved in a timely manner.
In this busy and varied role, you'll need to complete all these tasks efficiently and effectively. There'll be lots of opportunities to participate in projects, and as part of the wider Group Finance team you'll be expected to work collaboratively and, at times, with the flexibility to pick up the work of other roles within the team to achieve team objectives. A vital part of this role is to work closely with the Credit Control team to meet our key objectives and targets.
Mōu - About you
You'll have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and you'll have mastered the fundamentals of quality in this space, including having a good phone manner, excellent attention to detail and a team player approach. If you had experience in or accounts receivable that would be a bonus, but not essential.
You'll couple this with:
