Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Due to an internal promotion, we are currently looking for a new Head of Network Operations. This role will maintain control and management of our end-to-end network through the Week and Day-of-Operations. In this role you'll be responsible for transport operational performance (road and air); transport safety management and regulatory and compliance management; general day-to-day network control and incident management; and you'll be the back-up incident controller for P2 (Priority 2) incidents. You'll also have control of the budget for national network and metropolitan Transport operations, and container assets.
The nature of our business activities means you'll also need to be available to react and respond to any significant events (service or incident related) on a 24/7 basis. This is a busy role with a big remit for an experienced senior leader who can multitask like a pro and lead a high performing team.
Mōu - About you
Significant leadership within an operations or logistics environment is a must-have for success in this role. Along with your proven experience responding to significant service or incident events. You'll be known for your ability to sense and predict events that may impact on operations, and you'll have enough experience behind you to develop contingency plans at short notice and remain calm under pressure.
