Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We're looking for a visionary leader to take on the role of Head of Network Design and Planning at NZ Post. This pivotal role leads our integrated Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. You will be bringing together forecasting, network design, capacity planning, and optimisation to ensure our end-to-end network is aligned with strategic goals, commercially sustainable, and operationally effective. You'll be responsible for shaping the network across short- and long-term horizons, from seasonal peaks to future transformation, determining how products flow, where they're processed, and how they're delivered.
You'll lead network design and capacity planning across a 1-18-month horizon, translating demand forecasts into executable plans that balance service, cost, and capability. Collaboration is key, you'll work closely with Sales, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure plans are informed, integrated, and responsive to changing business needs. Once plans are finalised, you'll hand over to the Network Control team for seamless execution, ensuring resilience and adaptability across NZ Post's evolving network. You'll also play a critical role in reviewing performance outcomes, identifying improvement opportunities, and feeding insights back into future planning cycles, driving continuous improvement and strengthening network maturity. Our network is vast and on a journey of evolution.
