Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Working as part of a team of specialists, you'll provide support to our payroll applications, including testing and maintaining system upgrades, supporting future enhancements, processing periodic reporting as well as regular testing, SQL reporting and queries. You'll also keep on top of legislation changes, utilising available tools within our pay system (Ascender Pay) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Excellent communication skills are a must in this role as you have key links with Finance and the wider business for various reporting internally and externally including reports to Stats NZ, and other Government departments.
The excitement of upcoming challenges and changes mean there are lots of opportunities to contribute real value and tick off some big-ticket career goals, like implementing new HRIS systems, time and attendance projects, and integrating different business units into the fold.
Mōu - About you
You'll have a passion for systems, numbers and of course the mechanics of payroll systems. You'll combine this with either prior experience in either a similar role or a finance or systems BA role.
Words used to describe you include naturally inquisitive, an easy communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels, a self-starter who works well both autonomously and as part of a team.
