Site Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Working in conjunction with Site Leaders and the Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner (SWBP) you'll provide support at site level for all Safety and Wellbeing matters at our new Auckland Processing Centre in Wiri.
Day to day your focus will be co-ordinating H&S of the people at our mail and parcel processing site, and everything that falls underneath that. You will work towards making a solid H&S plan, building and ensuring we are sticking to that plan, and of course making sure people are doing what they should be doing across H&S responsibilities. This is a real mix of both day-to-day admin as well as broader H&S planning.
You'll be critical in ensuring that the site adheres to Health and Safety Regulations and delivers practical Safety & Wellbeing plans and objectives, as well as any national Safety & Wellbeing Team initiatives.
You'll also be an integral member of our Safety & Wellbeing Action Group (SWAG), and work closely with business partners, frontline processing staff, operational leaders and our team of SWBP's, to ensure that safety messages are communicated effectively with a commitment to our core values of Safe Home Every day (SHED) and Living it Fully Everyday (LIFE).

You'll have a genuine passion for Safety & Wellbeing having gained it from come from either hands-on experience in an operational environment, involvement in Safety & Wellbeing committees, and / or holding relevant qualifications. Whatever your path, you'll bring both credibility and commitment to the role.

It goes without saying, but we'll say it anyway, you'll also have strong admin skills, a continuous improvement ethos and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Hours
Our processing centre operates variable day and night shift rosters, and this role has a requirement to work across our various shifts (being Day, PM and AM), to ensure safety standards across those shifts. There is some flexibility around the times and days, but regular nights and the occasional weekend are required.
