Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We have created a permanent opportunity within our Data and Enterprise Architecture team to help put our AI strategy into action. Reporting to the Head of AI this role has been designed to drive AI-enabled value realisation and lead the launch of the framework to govern NZ Post's portfolio of AI initiatives and tools. The primary focus of this role will be to set up our implementation and monitoring framework and standards which we will utilise for all our AI initiatives. A secondary focus will be the rollout of new AI tools for NZ Post
This role will involve working across our organisation at various levels and championing responsible use of AI, this will include our vendor partners. The role will also encompass facilitating working group sessions and following up on agreed actions, managing AI use cases/tools requests and performing the necessary reviews and controls. The role also leads a small team of one to two specialists.
As we are early on our AI journey as an organisation, this role is designed to help us build the solid foundations that we will need to be successful in this space. Our Head of AI is leading this charge, and this role will be a key part of this journey.
Mōu - About you
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will be able to demonstrate solid relevant experience in the areas of data and technology focused portfolio management, programme or project environments. Ideally you will also have hands on experience with AI or a related field. Experience leading and managing a team would be advantageous.
Your stakeholder management skills will be top notch, and you will be able to clearly demonstrate skills interpreting and explaining technical or complex information in plain English to a wide variety of senior stakeholders. You will be comfortable and experienced facilitating workshops, have experience rolling out new initiatives and products, and hands on experience conducting risk assessments, project lifecycle management and managing governance processes.
