It is a hands on role where you will work within a fit and fun team to get the job done.  As a Mail Officer based in our Dunedin Metro Box Lobby, you are critical in ensuring our customers' incoming mail is accurately sorted, processed and despatched correctly.  This is a permanent position where you will need to be available to work Tuesdays from 4.30am to 7.30am with possibility of extra hours during the week to cover leave.

In this fast paced job, you will:

• Accurately sort our customer's parcels and letters in a careful and professional manner
• Liaise with your team to solve customer queries as needed

In this role, you are part of the engine that drives the New Zealand Post business, directly contributing to our customers' experience.    

In this dynamic job you will:

• Sort our customer's parcels and email based in our Dunedin Metro Box Lobby on Princes Street
• Dispatch correctly to our customers to ensure they can deliver on time
• Handle freight in a careful and professional manner
• Liaise with various internal contacts to solve problems and raise issues where required

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Be ready for a physically demanding role – heavy lifting is required
• Is a natural team player that enjoys working as a team to put our customer's first
• Is comfortable in a physically demanding role – plenty of moving around, bending and heavy lifting will be required
• Accurate with an eye for detail
• Get job satisfaction from getting things right first time to a high level of quality
