Mō te Tukurau Aotearoa - About NZ Post
NZ Post is an iconic organisation with a rich history and bright future. Our world is changing and so are we. New sites. New technology. Building the NZ Post of tomorrow.
It's an exciting time to join.
In the Communications and Engagement team, our role is to directly contribute to developing the best delivery business for NZ, delivering what people care about - by contributing to building the ‘best people business for NZ' with a strong NZ Post brand and reputation.
We make it easy for people to do their jobs, where work is enjoyable, leaders are able to lead positively, teams and individuals are engaged and thrive, and we connect with the public over the role we play for New Zealanders.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
We are currently looking for a Channels Specialist to join us for 12 months to evaluate the channels we have in place, understand the needs of our stakeholders, and then develop and implement an effective and aligned internal channels strategy.
You will be responsible for shaping the way we engage with our employees and contractors and ensuring these channels reflect and celebrate our values of #strongertogether, #bringtherealyou and #deliverthebest.
As our key intranet and Yammer editor, you will oversee and manage usage of channels; keeping your finger on the pulse of sentiment being expressed in these channels and flagging anything relevant with the appropriate team.
You'll be joining a talented team of comms professionals and you will be encouraged to #bringtherealyou in all aspects of the role.
Mōu - About you
This is a role of two parts. While it's important you have the technical aptitude to ensure we are maximising all relevant functionality within our intranet and Yammer (to name a few), it is just as important to us that you are a passionate storyteller and creative thinker and can bring some different views to help design how we do things.
To succeed in this role, you'll have an understanding of digital and face to face ways to reach internal audiences in a corporate and operational environment and experience in developing successful channel strategies that have significantly improved engagement.
Knowing and understanding your audience will always be your priority, providing advice, strategies and tactics that make a real difference. We're flexible and resourceful at NZ Post working with the tools we have, the connections we make and the creativity to make great things happen.
You'll consistently look for new and different ways in which we can use our channels to further promote engagement. Being connected to what is happening across the business and developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders within the business will be front of mind for you.
Being open to ideas, new ways of working, being innovative and agile, bringing good will and creating a positive culture within the team and with your key stakeholders will be highly valued and will play a key part in your success in the role.
He Aha Te Pai - What you'll love about us!
You'll form part of an impressive team, enjoy autonomy and freedom, and the chance to make a significant difference in an organisation that keeps changing and growing.
We are proud of our collaborative and inclusive team culture that appreciates the power of diversity and allows creativity to thrive and innovation to flourish.
This is a unique opportunity to have an influential role in the way people think and feel about working in an organisation that places true value on its people.
