We are an iconic organisation and part of the fabric of Aotearoa. With values founded on caring and teamwork we're collectively driven by the power of our people and our focus on delivering what's important for customers
Internally this role is called an Area Service Delivery Manager, and this is a key operational management role for the Southland region. The primary responsibility is to lead a motivated team which includes:
Key performance measures include safety first, commercial and service performance & productivity results. This role covers a broad geographical area including rural & provincial Invercargill & surrounds, so some travel is expected as part of the role.
Making this role even more attractive is some exciting plans ahead on the plate, including a move to a new building, which will amalgamate both the mail and parcel teams who are currently operating in separate buildings. As leader, there will be some work to plan the move, along with cementing and building the team culture once settled in the new space.
This is a big job - day to day the role is Monday to Friday, however, flexibility in working hours will be required to provide visibility to the teams and that can mean occasional early starts/late finishes (or vice versa) and the odd weekend day as needed to attend to issues/escalations.
