New Zealand Post has a rich history stretching back to the early 1830s when whalers, missionaries and traders had to rely on occasional passing ships. Today, New Zealand Post is a successful commercial entity competing in local and global markets, focusing on delivering what people care about.
We've built an awesome in-house digital team to design, develop and continuously improve digital products and services for our customers. This is a great time to join and be part the team that creates stunning responsive websites, apps and digital retail interfaces.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Digital Developer with us, you'll develop new digital experiences to enable NZ Post to deliver what people care about. You'll be a collaborative member of a Scrum team, designing, building, deploying and supporting our digital solutions while collaborating with other developers and team members to inform technical design and code development.
You'll actively seek out opportunities to leverage enterprise technologies for simplification and continuous improvement and have proactive involvement in the end-to-end lifecycle of digital features including design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.
Mōu - About you
You'll be a subject matter expert in digital development best practices and be experienced in the use of code versioning and continuous integration/delivery tools.
Ideally, you'll have agile certification, and experience in successfully contributing to development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment is essential.
More importantly you'll have the right attitude and enjoy taking responsibility and ownership for your products and what you and your team are working on. You'll pitch in where needed and work collaboratively as a part of a well-functioning scrum team.
You'll have the opportunity to work with like-minded, talented and creative people in an Agile/Scrum environment with a shared passion for creating memorable digital experiences.
