We have an exciting opportunity to join our Safety & Wellbeing team as a Safety & Wellbeing Business Partnering Manager.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
In this role you'll provide a Safety & Wellbeing voice and thought leadership to various leadership teams, coaching and embedding a safety maturity mindset with senior leaders and within the business. You'll do this by working collaboratively with the GM of Safety & Wellbeing and the leadership team around business unit plans and aligning them to the overall strategy.
You'll also lead, guide, coach and mentor a team of 7 Safety & Wellbeing Business Partners with a key focus on supporting the business to design, align and execute safety & wellbeing initiatives. You'll grow your team (and by default the businesses) capability around safety outcomes and having a proactive focus on safety and wellbeing.
As a natural relationship builder, and a specialist in your field, you'll get alongside the business, understanding their priorities, challenges and needs, gaining a deep understanding and turning that understanding into providing real value add solutions.
Not afraid to get your hands dirty, you'll also be involved in technical aspects of Safety and Wellbeing.
Located at our Highbrook campus, it will require frequent travel nationwide (once levels allow) to support the team and the business.
Mōu - About you
As a seasoned safety & wellbeing professional, you'll bring a solid depth (think 7 years plus) of experience gained leadership roles in large complex, unionised organisations to our team at NZ Post. You'll also possess a recognised relevant tertiary qualification and have an active membership with a professional body to support your ongoing CPD in our world.
You'll have experience and expertise in a wide range of S&W process, policies and tools with include
As a self-starter, you'll be experienced in working with operational leaders in a multi-site, unionised environment. You'll couple this with experience in leading and developing people either in a line management or project context as well as being able to generate S&W insights for sharing with people leaders.
You'll also be a natural relationship builder, used to working with a variety of people at all levels including within a unionised environment, and where there is a commitment to having constructive pro-active relationships with union representatives.
