New Zealand Post is an iconic organisation with a rich history and a bright future. We are proud to be NZ's #1 delivery business and we're ready to shake things up in 2020, having just delivered over 10 million parcels over our peak period!

We have thousands of people, delivering millions of letters and parcels via various modes of transport across our extensive delivery network. We have a unique challenge with letters declining and parcels booming… which gives us a huge opportunity to work smarter and differently. And this is where you come into the picture.

We're recruiting the brand new role of Resource Optimisation Manager to look at the way we do things around here and bring experience in optimising both people and fleet resources to save time, reduce cost and increase service efficiency.

This role will ultimately operate at a national level, but will begin with the Auckland region, which is the beating heart of our network. You'll need the analytical expertise to scope the status quo and make recommendations on the systems and processes we need to implement. You'll then roll your sleeves up and “do the doing” in terms of analysis, individual site plans and providing leaders with reliable data to drive operational decisions. Long term, we envision this role will lead a team, but for now, it's all on you.

We're looking for someone with experience in a large, complex, time critical organisation who is strategic and tactical in equal measure. You'll need to demonstrate how you have optimised resources in the past and the impact you have made on an organisation. You're a strong influencer with the ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders at all levels. Ideally, you'll have exposure to the transport and logistics industry - but this isn't a deal breaker.

In return, you'll be part of a high performing operations team with a bold vision and solid investment in the future. We offer a competitive salary package with benefits including additional KiwiSaver, extra annual and sick leave, medical insurance, free onsite parking and more. This is a high impact role where you can make a tangible difference to NZ Post - an iconic organisation that connects all New Zealanders with each other and the world!

To find out more, visit NZ Post's Careers site - to download the JD or contact Yvette Knight (Senior Talent Sourcing Specialist) on 0275463148.

Applications close 24th January 2020.

All applicants will be required to provide proof of their eligibility to work in New Zealand. Appointees will be subject to a security check and will be required to undertake a pre-employment drug screen.
