The opportunity:

The International Supply Chain Solutions team manage New Zealand Posts end-to-end products and services that enable our global hybrid commercial and postal network.  This is a new role, in a newly created team within International Supply Chain Solutions, which has been formed as part of a realignment to ensure sustainable growth and the continued success of the team in an evolving market. 

What you will be doing:

You will lead a team of product managers, and have accountability for the following:

  • Overall profitability and viability of International products and services
  • Lead your team to build market offers in imports, exports and fulfilment/warehousing solutions
  • Delivering the right product solutions to meet the needs of each market segment across the markets that the International business serves including Retail, Commercial and Postal offers.
  • Managing the priorities that come from each of the hubs to ensure the next most impactful thing is being worked on and that stakeholder expectations are met with a high cadence of delivery

In addition to this, you will also need to keep our customers in the centre of design in order to maximise opportunities in, and extract value from, the market.  We operate in a multi-faceted environment, so you will need to ensure close alignment with both internal and external stakeholders, in order to define and deliver on our strategy for success.

What you will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in marketing and/or business
  • Strong knowledge (5+ years) of the global Postal and Courier industry, including a thorough understanding of logistics and supply chain management
  • Strong leadership skills to build this new team
  • Experience working in large, complex environments
  • Experience selling new and foreign notions into diverse audiences within organisations
  • Experience in making strategic and tactical decisions with wide reaching ramifications, and evidence of understanding the risk and benefits associated with making these decisions
  • Industry or product marketing experience
