New Zealand Post's International Mail Centre is the gateway between our domestic and international markets. The IMC is connected to various business units in the broader NZ Post group, which provides excellent insight into this complex, iconic and constantly evolving organisation.

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations & Commercial Manager (12 month fixed term) to join the team and support the IMC's Leader to drive operational excellence and foster the positive team culture already embedded. With 70 million units passing through the IMC every year and a team of 250+ making it happen 24/7; it's a fast paced, complex operation where every day presents new challenges.

Operating in a hands-on environment, you'll be as comfortable rolling up your sleeves in daily operations as you will be managing budgets, liaising with stakeholders and coaching your team of five direct reports. Every day you'll strive to exceed customer expectations and service targets, while ensuring the IMC's performance is compliant, efficient and profitable. A natural problem solver, you'll proactively identify operational anomalies and prevent issues from escalating as well as leading continuous improvement projects.
