Our Opportunity:

Our International Supply Chain Solutions team manage end-to-end solutions and service including global network performance, and supplier relationships that enable our global hybrid commercial and postal network. This opportunity has been created to enable the world to access the New Zealand market, and helps elements of the onshore market help serve new products to New Zealand consumers.

What will you be doing?

As our Import SME, you will play a crucial role that focuses on the end to end management of the portfolio that facilitates the ability for offshore customers to sell their products into the New Zealand market and onshore customers access foreign goods for use or resale in NZ.

You will also have scope to expand to imports to offshore markets where we hold hub locations.  As new opportunities come to bear this role will be instrumental in securing these new lines of business.  Your role will work to ensure revenue and growth targets are met or exceeded, ensure regulatory compliance, help drive strategies to better target customers through effective and relentless management of the portfolio and its emerging opportunities.

In addition to the commercial opportunities this role will also be the custodian of the inbound postal service portfolio, working closely with IRP to provide a commercial and market lens to their dealings with Bilateral and Multilateral agreements.  You will work closely across multiple stakeholders including the International Sales team, Marketing teams, capability teams and regulatory departments such as customs and MPI.

We'd love you to have a few of the following:

  • Experience managing a business portfolio, services and/or customer segment propositions ideally taking a broad view of the business you have managed.
  • Proven success in building and maintaining effective internal and external customer relationships at a senior level enabling business targets to be achieved
  • Intimate knowledge of the global Postal and Courier industry, including a thorough understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Experience of selling new and foreign notions into diverse audiences within organisations;
  • B2B marketing experience required and Evidence of successful implementation of pricing strategies for new or existing services and evidence of the understanding of risks associated with pricing decisions;
  • Experience in managing portfolio life cycles – ideally across a wide range of products and/or services and ideally across a wide range of channels and markets.
