Our Opportunity:

Our International Supply Chain Solutions team manage end-to-end solutions and service including global network performance, and supplier relationships that enable our global hybrid commercial and postal network. This opportunity has been created to ensure we continue to support New Zealand businesses export to the world.

What will you be doing?

As our SME, you will work across the full export market, which includes commercial and retail segments (including things like the platform strategy to help New Zealand Businesses export to the world).  You'll be working hard to establish relationships with stakeholders such as our International Sales team, Business markets; Onshore sales; International Capability; and Channels team, to not only ensure the effective management of our export portfolio but help develop and drive active opportunities for New Zealand Post.

You'll be the go to person for all export opportunities and will ensure revenue and growth targets are met or exceeded, ensure regulatory compliance, help drive strategies to better target customers through effective management of the portfolio and its emerging opportunities. A focus on this diverse portfolio will mean the role will also work closely with regulatory departments such as customs and MPI.

We'd love you to have a few of the following:

  • Experience managing a business portfolio, services and/or customer segment propositions ideally taking a broad view of the business you have managed.
  • Proven success in building and maintaining effective internal and external customer relationships at a senior level enabling business targets to be achieved
  • Intimate knowledge of the global Postal and Courier industry, including a thorough understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Experience of selling new and foreign notions into diverse audiences within organisations;
  • B2B marketing experience required and Evidence of successful implementation of pricing strategies for new or existing services and evidence of the understanding of risks associated with pricing decisions;
  • Experience in managing portfolio life cycles – ideally across a wide range of products and/or services and ideally across a wide range of channels and markets.
