  • Auckland Operations Centre, Highbrook

NZ Post's Auckland Operations Centre (AOC) handles 70% of our network's freight and is a fast paced, high volume, automated processing site. We are proud of our people and processes at AOC which enable us to deliver what our customers care about.

Right now, we're looking for a Shift Manager to manage operations on the PM shift (2pm to 10.30pm). This is a challenging and unique leadership role where no two days will be the same and where you'll need to problem solve and make decisions under pressure.

The role is supported by two Floor Managers, a team of Charge Hands and a processing crew of 120+. It's your responsibility to oversee the accurate and efficient sorting of inbound freight for outbound delivery and with 40-60,000 items being processed on this shift alone, this will definitely keep you challenged.

We're looking for an experienced operations manager who has managed large teams in a processing, manufacturing or logistics environment. This is a role for a strong leader, who can delegate effectively and keep their cool under pressure. It's a fast paced, time critical environment where you'll need to be highly organised to meet deadlines and have practical problem solving skills to manage resources, scheduling and recovery plans.

In return, you'll be supported by an experienced manager who knows NZ Post inside out, receive a great salary and benefits package and be on a career development path with one of NZ's largest employers.

Apply today or visit NZ Post's Careers website, to download the JD, or you can contact Yvette Knight (Talent Sourcing Specialist) on 0275463148 for additional information.

Applications close on Friday 24th May 2019
