Around since 1840, New Zealand Post has a rich history and an exciting future ahead. We are in the midst of transformational change and with that comes new challenges from a safety and wellbeing perspective.

In this newly created role reporting to our Head of Safety & Wellbeing, you'll be the “guardian angel” of our safety systems and processes. The foundations are there, but we will be honest - there is a lot of work to do to take all the pieces of the puzzle and put them together to achieve best practice. We see this as a challenging yet rewarding role, where you can truly make a difference.

Key responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain oversight of business-critical safety risks.
  • Develop and implement safety policies, programs, systems and risk mitigation strategies for both employees and contractors.
  • Develop and maintain electronic safety reporting platforms and content.
  • Lead a small project team of risk, assurance and content management specialists.

An attractive salary and benefits package and flexible working culture is on offer to a candidate who demonstrates a strong Safety background with the expertise and passion for developing and operationalising safety systems.

Based in Highbrook, Auckland with onsite parking and café, you will be part of a dedicated team of Safety & Wellbeing professionals with scope for career development and progression. This is a role that you can truly make your own, and make an impact on one of NZ's largest employers.
