What's great about our role?
Are you keen on joining a Team who innovates to be your best partner for online shopping?  You'll be leading and contributing to the design and build of high-quality test assets whilst also taking on a mentoring role to other members of the team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the stability and reliability of NZ Post's systems and support the delivery of high-quality application changes.

We are looking for people who take ownership and responsibility of quality. We are an outcome focused business and we want you to take a pragmatic approach to getting things done. Your independent views and input will help ‘round out' decisions made and approaches taken within your agile team. With us you have the freedom to get on with it and use your initiative to make decisions. We encourage you to build the relationships that are needed to deliver and work collaboratively with value for the customer always at front-of-mind.

As an Automation Test Engineer in our team, you'll have strong and varied Testing/Engineering background experience. We are looking for a blend of technical skills, functional testing and communication skills (written and verbal) as well as a track record of delivering successful IT projects.

You'll already have a strong grasp of the software development lifecycle, with experience in an object orientated programming language (e.g. Ruby, Java, C#) and using testing tools such as Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver, SoapUI or JMeter and API testing/Integration testing.

Experience with Test Automation is a must as well as experience in Automation Frameworks and CI/CD. Performance Testing experience a plus. Agile experience required and DevOps experience is an advantage. All this must be built on-top of an experienced Testing background in functional testing and competent analytical skills.

Our team is currently moving towards integrating mobile automation, service virtualisation and cloud based testing (e.g. Saucelabs) – so if you have this knowledge, are keen to share and fit the above description then we want to meet you.

We've attached a JD on our careers page: – but visit our website, see what we're doing and what we're about then apply on line.
