  • Newly created position in our brand new in-house digital team.
  • Opportunity to create truly great experiences by delivering stunning responsive websites, apps and digital retail interfaces.
  • Based in Highbrook, East Tamaki.

New Zealand Post has a rich history stretching back to the early 1830s when whalers, missionaries and traders had to rely on occasional passing ships. Today, New Zealand Post is a successful commercial entity competing in local and global markets, focusing on delivering what people care about.

We are building an awesome in-house digital team to design, develop and continuously improve digital products and services for our customers. This is a great time to join and be part the team that creates stunning responsive websites, apps and digital retail interfaces.

The Senior UX / UI Designer is responsible for the design of new digital experiences to enable NZ Post to deliver what people care about. You will take what users want, need, and expect from the services we create, and push those expectations into the world of creativity to deliver digital solutions. More than an advocate for our customers - you will have a vision for what truly great experiences can be and you will want to create the future of digital.

Key to your success in this role is your extensive experience in a professional UX / UI design role coupled with an excellent knowledge of user experience and interaction design approaches and principles. A degree in Web design is essential (and a Master of User Experience Design would be highly desirable), but just as important is your ability to connect user need definition with concrete business objectives and translate into functional and creative solutions. You're excellent communication skills will allow you to build strong team and stakeholder relationships as well as effectively pitch UX concepts and articulate design decisions - you'll have a talent for making complex information clear for users. Experience in Bohemian Sketch, the InVision product suite and an un understanding of digital technologies and constraints will all be vital in the role.

In return, you'll have the opportunity to work with like-minded, talented and creative people in an Agile/Scrum environment with a shared passion for creating memorable digital experiences.

Hit the ‘apply now' button or apply online via our careers site www.nzpost.co.nz/careers where you will find a full job description.

All applicants will be required to provide proof of their eligibility to work in New Zealand. Appointees will be subject to a security check and must be able to pass all internal and external security vetting requirements.
