  • Bring your passion and fresh ideas to life.
  • Be part of a team transforming how learning at Post delivers results.

Around since 1840, New Zealand Post has a long history - and a great future. There are many of us -  helping New Zealand run and thrive. Our eyes are firmly on the future and making sure we bring the best of it to our customer and communities.

We currently have an opportunity for a senior and experienced Learning Development Specialist  to join our team of highly committed Learning and Development professionals. Our national L&D function, which is part of the wider Leadership, Culture and Capability team, is responsible for the learning frameworks, tools, and programmes of work which build the capability our business needs to deliver our strategy and meet our customers' needs.

This is a key position in the team, that will see you design and develop smart learning solutions; at times leading an entire design project from initialisation through to delivery, at other times working collaboratively with colleagues on a wider programme of work. It is a varied position - both in terms of the types of projects you will work on as well as how you get the work done. You will enjoy rolling up your sleeves and leading learning design activity from needs analysis through to solution development yourself as well collaborating with our outsource Learning Providers and managing their delivery to meet business needs.

Key to your success in this role will be your solid and proven experience working as a learning designer across a wide range of solution types.  You'll have a deep understanding of how adults learn, including the importance of informal and social learning, and your solutions will be innovative, pragmatic and achieve business results. You will bring your customer focus, creative flair, interpersonal savvy, curiosity and great skills at planning and organising to get work done. You will be experienced working with stakeholders and learners across all levels of a business, have an extensive toolkit of techniques and practices you can draw upon for different situations, be confident using technology to support learning, and have extensive experience designing learning solutions and competency assessment tools.  While not essential, experience with Human Centred Design, Agile Project Management, Articulate Storyline, Sharepoint, Adobe Creative Suite and Totara Learning Management System will be highly regarded.

This role offers variety and challenge, in a truly collaborative team environment. This is your opportunity to deliver real value in a trusted, dynamic and ambitious company.

Apply online with your full CV and covering letter to Kristy Teece or call (09) 3679532 - applications close Wednesday 30 April 2018.

All applicants will be required to provide proof of their eligibility to work in New Zealand. Appointees will be subject to a security check and must be able to pass all internal and external security vetting requirements.
