The Franchise Design & Performance team is the part of NZ Post which looks after the 'franchise system' for NZ Post delivery contractors - with responsibility for the ownership and development of our national contracts for service, contract pricing models and the supporting business systems and processes.  

We are looking for a commercially minded, technology-savvy coordinator/project manager to step into this new role of Franchise Equipment & Reseller Specialist.  This is a varied and technical role managing the physical components of our franchise contract system, and developing the sales and reseller services provided by our delivery contractors. 

This is a very busy position where you will be responsible for providing the very best service and solutions to our customers, and using your commercial focus and innovation to think of ways to make our systems and processes more efficient and effective.

You'll be responsible for:

  • specifying the appropriate physical equipment standards for contractors, and related supply and billing processes;
  • being the go-to person for our contractor ‘reseller' arrangements, and ensuring they comply with relevant legal requirements;
  • owning and monitoring the key risk controls such as driver licence monitoring, security checks, drug and alcohol tests; and
  • developing and creating communications about the contract network.

Key to your success in this position will be your previous experience in a sales support or commercial office support role, ideally with experience in a franchise, operational or small business environment. You'll be skilled at proactive project management and coming up with business improvement ideas, and have excellent numerical and analytical skills.

As this is a completely new role, you'll have the opportunity to jump in, take ownership and make it your own. You'll have a good eye for detail and enjoy getting stuck in to solve problems using your own initiative. You'll be proactive with good business acumen to consistently look for ways to reduce cost, assess risks and improve performance. You'll need to be comfortable and excited by setting up your own processes and have an exceptional work ethic.
